With a vision to build single-family residential housing in Montgomery, Ed Lowder started Lowder Construction in 1956. Over the past 62 years, Lowder Construction evolved into the Colonial Companies. This business diversified into two major construction entities, Lowder New Homes and Lowder Construction Co.

Lowder Construction specializes in mid-size commercial and multi-family projects. Our strength starts with bringing competent analyses of plans to offer solutions for lowering costs while maintaining the owners’ desired goals. From there, we bid, contract, and execute construction with a qualified group of subcontractors, striving for cost control to help ensure the success of the owner’s project.
